There’s a magical place hidden in Downtown LA known as the Original Los Angeles Flower Market. It’s the place where florists, stylists, designers and flower lovers like ourselves go to shop for all types of flowers, in every color, all under a single roof. Upon entrance and seeing the rows and rows of fresh blooms from every direction, its official… spring is in full bloom (literally).
Without a doubt, we are super lucky to work in Los Angeles, near one of the largest flower markets in the country. The NYDJ team often find ourselves here whether as a Friday afternoon treat, to pick up arrangements for a special event or to gather inspiration for new floral prints.
A wealth of inspiration, the assortment of flowers gives us print ideas for our blossoming pleat-back tops and the bursts of colors help us decide our denim color palette for the season. Color names for the season, such as “Crushed Lilac”, “Bellflower Blue”, and “Daisy” have also been known to pop up from our trips here.
